Ismail Hatip

Ismail Hatip graduated from İstanbul Şehir University, Faculty of Law in 2017 with a full scholarship. He obtained his LL.M. degree in Constitutional Law from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University in 2020, with a thesis on "Protection of Reputation as a Limit to Freedom of Expression in the Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights". He has been pursuing his PhD at the same university since 2020, focusing on the "Prohibition of Abuse of Rights in the European Convention on Human Rights".

Mr Hatip worked as a research assistant at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Department of Constitutional Law, between 2018 and 2024. Since 2024, he has been serving as a research assistant at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Law. Mr Hatip was awarded a doctoral research fellowship by TÜBİTAK and is currently conducting his PhD studies as a visiting researcher at the University of Cologne, Academy for European Human Rights Protection.
