Anna Stepanskaja

Anna Stepanskaya studied law at the University of Cologne and successfully passed her First Examination at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne in 2022.  For the main area of her studies, she focused on European and international law and specifically on the international protection of human rights.

As part of her work as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Sommer, she participated directly in proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and attended meetings of the UN Human Rights Council and the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva as a member of international delegations. Since 2023, she has been a research associate at the Academy for European Human Rights Protection at the University of Cologne and is pursuing her doctorate under Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Angelika Nußberger M.A..
