Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Angelika Nußberger in an interview with Bayrischer Rundfunk in the podcast "Politik und Hintergrund" on the current situation at the Polish border.

Titel of the podcast: "EU-Asylpolitik: Dilemma zwischen Grenzschutz und Asylrecht"

"Push-backs are illegal under general international law, under the Geneva Refugee Convention, the European Convention on Human Rights and under customary international law".

On the Podcast she compares the current situation with the one in Melilla and explains why the so-called Melilla judgement of the ECtHR is, according to current knowledge, probably not applicable to the sitaution in Poland.
